Job Description

As a User Acceptance Tester (UAT Analyst) at Gateless, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products deliver exceptional quality, usability, and accuracy. You’lll act as a bridge between business requirements and product delivery, validating that new features, enhancements, and system changes align with user needs and business objectives. Working closely with the UAT Lead and cross-functional teams in Product, QA, and Engineering, you will plan, execute and document user acceptance tests to confirm that the software functions as intended prior to release.

What you’ll do

• Execute user acceptance testing plans based on provided business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Document and track defects, ensuring clear communication with QA,Product, and Engineering teams.
• Review test results and provide detailed feedback to identify usability or data integrity issues.
• Support the creation and maintenance of UAT test cases, test data, and regression scenarios.
• Participate in test planning sessions, provide insights from an end-user perspective.
• Validate workflow functionality, data calculations, and document processing within mortgage or financial systems.
• Collaborate with UAT Lead and stakeholders to confirm sign-off on successful testing outcomes.
• Assist in verifying business rules through light data validation and API or report analysis when needed.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements that enhance testing efficiency and consistency.

Your Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of user acceptance testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to document and communicate findings clearly across teams.

Experience or Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in finance, banking, or mortgage operations.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with technology teams and enhancing software systems.
• Strong experience with JIRA or similar agile project management tools to manage backlogs and track progress effectively.
• Basic understanding of SQL or data validation concepts (preferred).
• Having used Snowflake or other cloud data platforms for querying/managing data and reporting.
