Do you like Functional Programming? Great, we do too. That’s why Clojure is a first-class citizen in our stack and comprises most of our backend development. JavaScript and Svelte.js? That’s what we use on our front end. How about Logic Programming? We’ve built a modern Expert System to make underwriting decisions on home mortgages. We have combined JavaScript with Svelte.js, Clojure, Clara Rules, and AWS to form a modern Rules based Distributed System.

What you’ll do:

• Contribute to the development of our automated underwriter platform on a full stack team
• Work with JavaScript and Svelte.js on both internal and external projects
• Work in Clojure and Clara Rules on a distributed Expert System
• Contribute to our AWS services
• Work with our DevOps team on our autoscaling Containers running in ECS and managed through Terraform
• Work with business analysts to codify business logic into RETE-optimized rulesets

• You have hands-on experience building user interfaces with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Svelte). You stay current with best practices in web application architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• You are comfortable working across the web stack, from designing Postgres database schemas, to building HTTP APIs, to efficiently rendering data in the frontend
• Experienced with distributed microservice architectures
• You have a testing mindset: work isn’t complete until it is supported by reliable, automated tests that ensure correctness and guard against regressions
